The Flute Options

Each type of flute provides a variation in the strength, printability, and foldability of the corrugated sheets. Montebello Containers has many options that will fit specific product demands. Below are several styles of flute available:

C-Flute

The most common corrugated flute, C-flute is versatile and strong enough for most shipping situations. It is 3/16 of an inch in thickness and therefore offers significant durability.

B-Flute

B-flute is used for smaller products and boxes. The product is ideal for folding and printing applications and is often seen in Point-Of-Purchase displays. It is 1/8th of an inch in thickness. This flute type is commonly used in die cutting applications.

E-Flute

E-flute is an excellent material option for printing and folding. It is ideal for smaller boxes and is 1/16 of an inch in thickness.

F-Flute

F-flute is primarily used for specialty packaging of die cut boxes. It’s an excellent option for printing and folding and is the smallest flute profile that we offer. It is 1/32 of an inch in thickness. It is preferred for high-end graphics and printing.

K-Flute

This is the largest of the flutes measuring almost ¼ inch and used in the industrial shipping industry for items like furniture and food boxes.
